I feel really foolish asking this question... but here goes:

Does anyone know the function of the CAT portion of the RPT/CAT button on a G35 without the Bose system? The owners manual has been no help at all.

I have a 2005 G35 Sedan without the satellite radio and Bose options.

I know the RPT function of this button when playing CDs, but the CAT has me stumped.

Thanks for the help!

My "guess" is RPT is for repeat and CAT is for Category, to search for Program Types (example: JAZZ, ROCK, CLASSICAL, etc.) according to the online manual I found.

Thanks for the reply.

I've also read the online manual, but it only mentions that button on Type B radios under the section discussing satellite radio, and my car doesn't have satellite. I thought it might have something to do with RDS radio stations, but i must not have any of those in my area, or the radio in my car doesn't support RDS. Maybe it is just for cars equiped with satellite.
