Does anyone know where to get the conversion kit other than autoimaging.com, and afterdarktuning.com? Thanks

why not s13 front end?

I think it is sexy.

s15 is funny looking on the s13. it is too modern for the rest of the car. unless you rice it out that is.

cool, but why not spend the 3k on a turbo kit upgrade from apex-i or something? 3k into a sr20det will go a long way in the HP department.

then you can have a sleeper.-chet

Hey d*** head, some people want their car to look nice. If they like the S15 conversion, give him/her props. It isn't done often and will be a little original.

I never said I didnt like the look, hell I thought of doing it myself. I was just pointing out that the 2900-3500 dollars spent on that conversion could be spent, you know....backing up the look.

get some GO before you SHOW.

also, why the hell would I give props(nice ghetto language) to anyone for LIKING something? I mean, sure I'd congradualte someone on doing a nice s15-80 or s15/s14 conversion or the like because it takes a lot of work to do, buy, et. but giving someone some kind of acknolwedgement for liking something? I dont go "dude you rule if you like formula one" do I?

plus, like I said, it doesnt make the car go any faster, and that 3k goes a LONG way, especially in a sr20det or, if you include taht in the price( 5k for the set, lets say) you could get a rb25DET or RB26Dett, and REALLY be the envy of everyone at a car show....or, heh, yoou could just look like you want to be.

Me? I'd rather be the genuine article(IE fast) then just look like it.

does the s15 front end fit directly onto the s13 chassis? I am just wondering because of the price discrepency between s14->s15 and s13->s15 conversion kits...

No they don't bolt directly on, hence the purpose of a CONVERSION kit. IT CONVERTS ONE THING TO ANOTHER.

very good, you discovered the CAPS LOCK key. Thanks for answering my question, though this leads me to another.

I assume the s15 won't bolt on to an s14 chassis? If so why is it more to convert s13->s15 than s14->s15? Perhaps the s14 is just closer in shape/size?

Yes. But actually... it IS a bolt on kit in both cases. The kits that Daunttless sells are complete conversions with your choice of bumper. They bolt on with little or no modification.

The only time they aren't bolt on is when useing OEM fenders because the s15's don't match up so they need to be cut and welded to the original s13 or s14 fenders. My ichigo s14 :D

I hate it when people say, "back up the look." A nice looking car DOESNT have to be fast. A nice looking car can be just as satisfying to the owner as a fast car. I dont see why you need to jump in and suggest him to buying "go" parts, obviously he knows he can be buying "go" parts. One person might have a car that looks good but is slow, one might have a fast car that looks like ****. Whatever floats your boat. You dont have to reply in such a d*** head way, "yea, and it doesnt make your car any faster." HE KNOWS!

IvanS13 wrote:I hate it when people say, "back up the look."why? I think its a good saying. I mean, the definition of a ricer is someone who makes the car look fast, but doesnt do anything to make it so. In early 90's lingo a "poser". I find it disturbingly trendy to do this.

A nice looking car DOESNT have to be fast. A nice looking car can be just as satisfying to the owner as a fast car. sure, but hes talking specifically about a "go fast" type show item, similar to a 'shogun' body kit, or the like. I have no problem with people with sound systems and chrome wheels, etc. but being a performance oriented forum, allong with his other questions the money could be far better spent actually making his car fast.I dont see why you need to jump in and suggest him to buying "go" parts, obviously he knows he can be buying "go" parts. no, see obviously when he posted that, he didnt say anything about buying "go" parts. not until after I said that.

One person might have a car that looks good but is slow, one might have a fast car that looks like ****. Whatever floats your boat.I ahve a car thats 90% go, 10% show. eventually, it will be a lot of GO, and a little show(wheels, silvia front end) but all that is after my engine and suspension and braking buildups. IE GO before my show. If you want a show car, you should buy a cadillac and 'pimp' it out. Don't buy a 240SX and do that.

You dont have to reply in such a d*** head way, "yea, and it doesnt make your car any faster." HE KNOWS!
neither do you. He obviously didnt know, or I wouldnt have said that. hes posted 4-5 grossly ambiguous questions, thusy confirmaing that, in fact, he doesnt know. and telling him something doesnt make it faster, is hardly a ****head reply. I can get meaner, if you like. heres a sample:

-you sound like a guy that has a fire extinguisher on your A-pillar, seeing as how you supports "show", what fire do you exactly plan to put out? should you get a fake kill switch too, since you know, all that show stuff can get hot and might blow up something without it.

there ya go.-chet

Hahahah, but would good will that do? I was just pointing out, it sounding like a **** thing to say and you should not make smart remarks.

O yea, how is a S15 front end a "go fast 'type show' item?" Its just a japanese front end conversion? People dig that **** at shows... its a show thing to due, its doesnt make you faster.

And the dude was talking about gettin an SR swap... so obviously he does know about 'go' parts. Blah, sorry... i just had to put in my $0.02. Peace.

"its a show thing to due, its doesnt make you faster."

thats what I said!

and he didnt point out the sr20 thing until after my post. thus, I wouldnt have given him (as much) flak if he had said he was getting a sr20DEt and wanted information about a s15 front end. instead, he just asked about a s15 front end.-chet

autoimagings kit only allows you to use certain hoods and certain kits. daunttless' kit allows any hood and any kit and is also cheaper. importfan....i have no clue.
