RPMS going hay wire.

im going to check the throttle bodies tomorrow and clean them. As for the springs i did notice something. On the left throttle body (drivers side) it looks as though the white plastic piece that is right after the spring is loose? im going to take some pictures and post them being as i dont have work tomorrow =p

When i let the foot off the gas at high speeds my rpm goes down then jumps up.

I noticed this while driving:

At a steady 50 MPH on level straight road the rpms are @2400, taking my foot fully off the pedal the rpms drop to about 1600 within 1 - 2 seconds.

My car has always acted like this since I have owned it for 9 years.

nah. it's ok for the rpms to drop i understand that but when i let go of the gas the rpms actually jump up so i could be at 2500 rpms i'll let go of the gas and it will drop to say 2000 then jump up to 3000 withing about 2 seconds

put a different TPS in it i tested my old one and it said it was fine.I installed a new one at autozone and it went crazy down shifting upshifting rpms ,so i pulled over and adjusted it (guessed)now it runs perfect execept first shift in moring to high .also i found wiring plug to camsensor was loose ,i shook the wiring and while running . You never know may bad new TPS?

yeah if it was 25.00 which is what i paid for it at pepboys then it might of been a reman. So im waiting for my new one from IOS to come in my fingers are crossed
