The deal: When I depress the accelerator (or play with throttle cable on top of throttle body) the rpms will go down for a split second, then go up, stay there a little and slowly go down. I triedto adjust the timing, from 10 to 20 degrees btdc, and it didn't seem to have any effect (except for idle changine to lower or higher), meaning the RPMs still went down a little and the "lag" was still present. Any idea what it could be? My crank/cam timing is right on, I say this because I've just changed my timing chain, but I've checked it and the sprockets turn just like they're supposed to. Anyone ever have this "RPMs going down" after giving it a little gas? Any input would be appreciated.

This could be caused by a number of things:

* Clogged injector(s)* Dirty MAF Sensor* Cracked/Broken/Disconnected Vacuum Hose(s)* REALLY Dirty Intake Filter* etc...
