rpms at idle?

i have a 92 240sx with ka24de just wondering what should my rpms be at idle or when i put the car on neutral? right now its at 1000 rpms and i dont know if thats right. thanks for any help.

Mine usually sits right about 750.

Not really sure if there is a general idle or not. I normally hear between 700 and 900.

allright thanks im asking cause mines feels like its too high, and i have to shift to quick in between gears because it gets to around 3100 and feels kinda rushed.
