I have been experiencing what sounds like a whine on the left side of the motor. I notice it more just before the transmission shifts. I had the transmission diagnosed with nothing noted. I had the power steering pump replaced, thinking that might be the whine. Any help appreciated.

Hi and welcome to NICO Club!

The first thing that pops into my head is the power steering pump. You should hear it loudest when parked, in idle and turning your wheels left and right. Low fluid in there will make for a whine type sound. Check the fluid reservoir level and see if it's full. Next, start the car and look into the fluid reservoir and see if the fluid is moving/ flowing. Did you get new hoses or anything else? Did you install yourself maybe?

I think you're on the right track. Good luck and keep us posted please.
