RPM Signal Wire for S14 w/s13 SR

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

Hey guys,

I am helping a friend install his turbo timer into his s14 "yeah I am jealous, lol" and I have everything hooked up except for the RPM Signal Wire. I just looked on Heavythrottle and looked for the KA dash wiring harness. Can I use the tach signal that is the Yellow / Red stripe ?

again any help is appreciated.
