rpm's not getting over 2500

It idles ok, even runs good at low rpm's but if you give it gas going 30-35 it starts spuddering and backfireing?? im thinking its the maf because I had to rewire maf wire harness because my fan sheaded it (dont ask)anyway it ran perfect before this happened. any help would be cool.

if you cant rev over 2500 then it is definately your MAFS or wiring. if you need a wiring diagram, im sure i can find one.

Sure it didn't pull the maf plug or mess up the maf. Recheck the wiring on the maf and solder the wires and srink wrap them with the black sleves.

the maf plug is one of the plugs i had to replace because it did rip it out of the maf.

Yes, that is it, and you are in Limp Home Mode. You need to find a junkyard that will allow you to butcher a harness. If you cannot, but find one that will sell you a whole harness, I need part of it myself. I would be willing to buy some of it from you.
