RPM's jump when breaking

Hi everyone,I have the 5 speed Journey Sport. I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing a slight jump in RPM's while breaking. For instance as I am coasting to a stop sign at around 20 MPH and have started to apply the break the engine revs a little. The RPM's will jump from around 1000 to 1500. It's just enough to be annoying because I'm slowing down. Any ideas?

Known issue. Return the car to your dealer and ask them to check it against service bulletin ITB07-048. Bulletin was issued December 19, 2007

Just for the record, breaking is having coffee at work; braking is used to stop a car.
