I notice my G35 auto is turning about 2600rpm at 65mph. Is that what everyone else seeing? Seems high RPM's for just loafing along on a flat road. I would expect more like 2000rpm like on my old Honda Odyssey van is only turning 2000rpm at same speed. Doesn't the G35 move into the highest gear at highway speeds and no acceleration?

The 5AT 's 5th gear is a 0.83 with a 3.538 diff gear and ~~ 400 rpm per 10 mph so 2600 rpm at 65 mph.

As all cars optimized for 55 mph fuel consumption test.
