i have a 94 vert converted to 5 speed, i dunno why, but when i drive going 2nd to 3rd i'll be goin 35 mph, but the engine wines like i'm going 30 or below, same with 4th to 5th, i'll be goin 50 to 55 and it'll wine, maybe since it was automatic once its not used to that speed in those gear, i dunno, plus i'll be in 5th i dont realize how fast i'm goin sometimes on the highway but i've toped out at 110 and i have plenty of rpms left to go faster, and the engine seems fine, its not wining or anything its really smooth, its not a big deal, but just the lower gears the noise can get really bothersome, any ideas?

is it gear train wine or engine wine? exe. like when its in reverse noise?geartrain wine is from the gear teeth not meshing smoothly. reverse makes more noise then forward gears because it is designed that way. it's cut cheaper to save money in most cars. a lot of wine in forward gears could mean a worn gearset if you used a high millage transmission.

the trannys from an s14 with 75k miles on it, it just seems like my speedometer is off, like when i'm in low rmps in third it sounds like i should down shift into 2nd, but if it were in another car like my old 240 same situation, i wouldnt be worryin about it,
