Alright here it goes. I just recently replaced my oil pan gasket on my car and had to drop the subframe down. well I also dropped the engine down like 3". I get it done all buttoned up and find out my radiator is busted. Replaced it and went to start it up. Car instantly revs to 3,000 rpm's. Ive checked every vacuum line and plug. I cant for the life of me figure this piece of s#!t out! I have a technical manual and have read up on this thing. Does anyone have a clue or has faced this problem before?

I have not had this problem before but here are afew things to consider. I am assumeing that all was well prior to the oil pan and Radiator work.

Check all wiring harnesses to ensure that you did not inadvertantly pinch something. Pay close attention to the harnesses that are near the radiator.

Check to see if you snaged the throttle cable somehow when you lowered the engine.

Last, but most likely in my mind, is that you have lost a ground connection someplace. Take a good look in the engine bay and be sure all of your grounds are like they were before.

If you are not sure where to look just get back under the car and mentaly go through the entire repair again, looking at each part of the car as you go through it. Most likely you will see something that looks out of place.

if ya dropped the subframe and it went 3" down..id take a popkey at that pesky ground that goes from the firewall to the head...thats a good place to start.

well if the problem started after you started the job. i would look at your trottle plate make sure it didn't stick open; after all you did dropped it 3" so your cable probably stretch and pulled on the plate and the carbon build up keep it open. sound stupid bu it i have seen it stick. please re-post when you fix the problem because someone can have this same problem but would re-post because no solution was posted. (it's mainly for me..lol)

Dont know if it's KA or SR but check your tps sensor voltage. If you lowered the engine you could of actually turned the TPS and made it read a different voltage. Closed thottle should be at .035-.04. And at WOT it should read 4.0-5.0 volts. You can adjust it byy lossening the 2 screws and turing the whoke sensor unit.
