I’m kind of concerned so i thought i'd ask and see if this is normal on the 03/04 M.

I noticed this after I warmed up my car before leaving the office. When I rev the engine I’ll notice the rpm needle dropping back down in small increments rather than it smoothly dropping back down. So I decided to go drive around and the same thing occurred when I would floor the pedal, but this time it would do it even when I accelerate.

Is this common or have any of you experienced this?

Hmmm ... I have not seen this.

Have you tried it with the VDC off?

I am pretty anal too (see my thread about my early fluid changes)! I'll check my car out and see if I see anything similar at all ...
