RPM Needle drops below blue line when braking

Recently just noticed that when I am on the freeway or even in town that when I let go of the gas my rpm gauge will drop below the 0 rpm and when I press the break the needle will drop below the blue line of the rpm gauge.

Seems to drive ok but kind of feel that is not shifting correctly between gears also. Don't have enough cash at the moment to take it to a dealer and I am pretty sure they will find something wrong with it.

Any thoughts on why the rpm gauges is dropping so low like that or is it normal?
