This is where I got my swap done... read what happened..

after 10 weeks my car is still sitting not quite done.. while they told me it was....and in worse shape than I left it...

I'll be posting pictures to prove what my car went through... while they denied the claims...

if you guys could pass this info to more people that would be better.. I want people to know how this shop is trying to screw me but I won't take it....

the bottom line is they got over their head when they took my car in promising me it would be done in 2 weeks when they couldn't even do it in 10....:(

be carefull if you do go to court. my friends bro had about 8k put into a talon, and the shop doing all the work messed up bad, but denied it. he took it to court, but becuase it was "performance" related and not original spec, he lost the case, his 8 grand, and had a car without an engine and half of the suspension. but good luck gettin this thing sorted out

You need a lawn chair...

make a nice brochure and write up about what happened to your car at the shop. Make about 300 copies.

Put the lawnchair out in front of the shop with a sign that says look at what the idiots did to my car.

write a thing called a "press release" printt that in big print at the top of the page--- title it "local man take'n it sitting down"... send to local paper and news station... total cost 100 bucks... lawyer 300 a hour and no results... lawn chair approach 100 bucks... gauranteed results.

Before you get too excited about going into the court room, check out your exposure as far as paying a mechanic to perform an illegal engine swap on a street registered vehicle. You might end up being the one who gets done without lube in a court of law.

Engine swaps are not illegal, driving them on the road is. Regardeless of the ramifications of having the swap, he payed for a specific commercial service and recived a less than acceptable product.

Anand is SR-powered? RPM Motorworks? Did you get a S14 SR? I was talking to Norm a few days ago and he recently threw down some cash for a JDM S14 clip from MotoRex.

10 weeks is just stupid long for an SR swap. Myself and 4 friends did one in 14 hours. I've always done them over the weekends, it shouldn't take longer than that. They don't have any clue what they are doing.

10 weeks!!! I went with Garage Works in Palmdale and they had my car back to me in 1 week. Clean install, and very decent prices along with a fun bunch of guys. On occasion thgey have provided some tech support as well. For anybody looking for a reputable shop, it's worth the drive. I actually tipped them for God's sake! How many customers do you know that are that satisfied with their swap experience?
