I dont know what HLA is but, from reading the other post i am guessing a rocker of some sort. Ka has a cam over bucket design (same as CA and RB cylinder heads) so the head can take some rpm's with some mods. Ramon takes his built ka to 8K with cams, springs, and valves but, i heard he could take it to 8.5k if he wanted.kentuckyslider wrote:with stock HLA's???? I am considering a KA-T drag setup with a HX40 Pro Holset turbo and would like to know what the rev limit is for a KA with HLA's. I source for a good sheet metal intake would also be nice.
Best place for complete bottom end kit for the KA?
Thanks alot. Now my pants are wet and sticky. Where can I find more info on his build, please? I've have heard that making power and revving safely to 8k+ was supposed to be more difficult than that...nelson8708 wrote: Ramon takes his built ka to 8K with cams, springs, and valves but, i heard he could take it to 8.5k if he wanted.
Lol... thats the thread I read about a month ago that cast so much doubt on the subject to me. It just seems that most ppl seem to think it's not worth it and try to dissaude you from trying. However, if you could have a motor with power and torque as low as 3k rpm, all the way up to 8/8.5k without any really crazy motorwork, why not?nelson8708 wrote:here is a good thread on high revving ka-t. Hope its ok to link to another forum.

Ramon's motor still has stock valves. It sees 7500-8000rpm often and i would estimate damn close to 700whp if not more.nelson8708 wrote:Ramon takes his built ka to 8K with cams, springs, and valves but, i heard he could take it to 8.5k if he wanted.

R@mon's car is by far the most bad *** ka around. The drag cars that set new records are cool but, that is just one nasty street car.turbo2nr wrote:r@mon's car rocks! its one of the fastes ka's , and not alot of ppl know about it.
