Does anybody know with a built motor(piston,rods,cams,valves,etc...), what the highest rpms you could get out of a ka24de?

I'm not sure about with a built motor but i bring it up to 7200. Its tapped 7500 before with no problems on stock internals.

keep it under 8000rpms! @ 8000 you are looking at piston speeds of 25.6m/s and thats kinda ridiculous.

i was just wondering because, spoon engines hit about 12k and i was wondering what it would be like to have a 10k KA24DET.

I might have been up at 10k rpm by accident. I redlined 3rd then accidently shifted to 2nd at wot. It was loud as f*** but sounded cool. I might have pooped myself and i prayed that nothing went boom. As of now everything is alright.

you mean the type-R engines? well those are HIGH REVING ENGINES!! that is why they red line at 9000rpm! they are make for that. now a KA red lines at 6500.... why cause its a mid to low compression engine! in other works turbo ready!! but if you really want higher RPMs then be prepared to spend a lot of money! but for sure you are going to need forged pistons! and a stronger crank! the crank is going to be spinning really fast!! just becareful you dont blow the engine!
