rpm jumping or shaking at idle

just reading about q's. i saw that these cars have bad injectors and maf sensor. Like 6-8 mos ago my chk engine light would come on every once in a while and then go off. I got the spark plugs changed b/c it would stall and cut off while turning (dangerous). Neway it hasnt been on til today. I c it jumping at the notch halfway b/w 0-1 to like 2 notches above that.(1/2-3/4 to 1)It shakes to when i first drive off or at while sitting. Im guessing it cant b the spark plugs again after 18k miles. My ? is where is the MAF sensor at so I can check if its that? BTW the q is bout to hit 200k!

Clean or replace with used 90-94 MAF.

Most injectors and MAF last thru their design life of 100,000 miles.Mainteance and proper fuel can extend life to 300,000 miles.I have 312k injectors and MAF on my Q.........Beyond 120,000 miles anything is subject to failure if abused enough.

If you add up all the systems and parts that could fail you get in the $10,000 range for parts alone at dealer retail, $8,000 from Scottsdale or $4000 from junkers/ebay and necessary brand new.

Buying a used MAF or injectors is often buying someone elses problem child.
