Well, just drove my 240 for the first time this weekend, rides really nice, has a problem wit the RPM gauge though. It will either stick @ 3000 RPM, or when at a constant speed, radically change rpm (i.e. drop from 3500 to 1000 and back up to 3500), but their is definately no engine speed change. Guessing wither the Cable is not connected well or bad sending until. Anyone else have this problem, just curious if it was a commonality.

its a tachometer, and its prolly a bad connection for the motor, but more likely its a busted tach, as we call them here in america

Interesting that you mentioned this. Today while I was driving home from work, my tachometer went out. I was stopped at an intersection, next the light turned green and I lauched the car. However, the strange part was that the RPM needle didn't move up one bit, but the speedometer was picking up. It stayed in "idle" position till I got home. I figured it was another problem to look into. An hour or so later, I decided to restart my car in my driveway and the tachometer was working fine. I don't know how to explain this.

Well, I live in florida ... sold cold weather is kind of ruled out, lol.

Holisticbeatz is getting the same problem I am. If I nail the gas hard off a start I can get the needle to stick, and one long drived 200+ miles, I will somtimes get needle bounce (for lack of better terminology). Does anyone know if our stock gauges are electronic or mechanical ???
