1991 s13 - ka24de

i checked the vac lines, nothing leaking....has a new 02 sensor in it, temp gauge takes a minute to start reading right,

no check engine light or anything,

has a really dirty air filter..

but when i loosen the case for the air filter it doesn't change the problem(enough so that air can come in past the filter)

it doesn't die or anything, just rpms fluctuate pretty bad, like at idle it'll bounce from 1000 - 1700 up and down,

when it warms up, problem stops a little bit, but i feel like i have a cylinder miss every couple of seconds.

i got a spray bottle with the stream setting on it, got some isoproyl alcohol (91%),

sprayed my maf sensor down (the inside wires that read the air),took out my 02 sensor and did the same thing, cleaned the contacts between the coolant ECU and gauge connections,

and now it doesn't fluctuate anymore, but, when coming to a stop it will drop a lil bit under 1000, like 900 rpms, and instantly go back to normal.....

maybe if i try cleaning it again a few more times,it will go away until something does fail.(keep in mind this is a temporary fix)

idk if this could help anyone, but i guess it had some positive effect without blowing anything up...

i took everything out and let it sit 1 hour to dry before using it again also.

if there are any other sensors i could clean with this method ...could someone give me a heads up?
