rpm dropping

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

when i rev the motor up to about 1500 after a second the rpms drop down to 800-1000 and it kinda sputters or somthin.. would you say its a improparly tuned motor or a fuel or spark problem.

Do you still have an egr?

Also it helps to know what motor you are talking about. What tune, n/a or turboed.

its a ka24e i think i have the egr. the piece that the hose comes off the exhaust too fried the exhaust melted it so i took that out. it was that piece in the inner driver side fender

An idle problem could have to do with the egr. If you took the tube of the exhaust then you need to block of the egr on the intake. Inner drivers side fender...? Your intake silencer?

so what your saying is block off the other tube too. i cut the pipe that comes off the exhaust and welded it shut should i do the same for the other one and possibly take out the egr and bloch off those vaccume lines..
