I've never used RP, but if the problem didn't happen until you changed oil; change back, or try Mobil1.

i think its probally because you went from conventional oil to royal purple and the engine isnt use to the new kind of oil.

give it a while and see how it works out.

royal purple never gave me a problem ever since i went from mobil 1 to royal purple.

I agree, give it a chance, Royal Purple is supposed to be more viscous than conventional oils. I've used it in 3 cars I've owned and then only in the transmission.

From all the hp you freed up by switching to RP

Serious...my engine does it to. I wouldn't worry about it unless the tach is moving around...then you have issues.

I was reading up on RP and Amsoil said that the molybedenum (Sp?) can actually come out of suspension and wear our engines faster.

Could be a cruel marketing plot against RP, but I thought I'd let you guys know.

A few extra ponies sounds great, but not at the expense of failing parts. Amsoil said they make their oil for longevity and extended service intervals, not for a few extra ponies. :shrugs:
