I was attempting to removes the master cylinder from my 240 for painting purposes and when I took the wrench to lossen it the sucker rounded off. I dont want to make the situation worse so if any of you guys have some helpful suggestion or have been in this situation before I would greatly appreciate your knowledge. Thanks!

You mean the hardlines to the brake or clutch master? I ended up taking vice grips and bending new hardline to replace the ones that Nissan discontinued (the brake lines are now discontinued if I recall).

yup, if it's those hydraulic lines, u shoulda used flare wrenches...

or, using one of these: use the one that has a wide enough face to cover over the enire nut > more surface area... just keep a thumb on the screw portion to know that it won't be backing out while u r trying to loosen the sucker.

a vice grips should grab hard enough to remove those rounded nuts on the hydraulic line, also the fact that they are brass means the vice grips can "dig in" a little more and get some more bite on them.

If not of this work well just cut off the end and install a new new one and flare the end. With the master cylinder youll have to cut it from inside and hopefully it will come out with a vise grip without messing the threading on the clyinder. Good luckOh and ask spencer his a pro with the 240s

I used vice grips before its a pain btu it worked. I think I used channel locks too but that was going no where. Invest in some flare wrenches.
