But hear me out now that the total failing of the last car was not due to me being lazy or unmotivated to build or just failing. I actually had a horrible rough patch through out the entire process of trying to get things to happen to that car.
It started the day that I bought the damn thing (which should have been a sign). I was fired no more than 2 hours after the purchase of that beautiful pile of sh.......... But i tried to prevail, making small amounts of progress with fixing little things and getting it clean. All of this just keeping me busy for that time being.
And then with a strike of luck I found a job and began to order some tidbits here and there but nothing major. And with that small amount of success came more of life humping me against my will when i was kicked out of my apartment for numerous complaints, some of which coming from noise complaints, about my car.
So with a new home found (this one with a garage as a perk!) and a job had it was time to actually start a build rite?
Not a bloody chance, Job once again lost thanks to our ever so pleasing economy, and here we are at a standstill yet again. And that is where things stayed until i had to park the car because my insurance was canceled due to my not having a job, which also lead to my license being suspended, because with no job you cant pay that pesky 125 dollar exhaust ticket.
So for 3 to 4 months my precious 240 sat in front of my house, looking sad and calling for help.
And it arrived in the form of a new job!! so with work once again being started I was excited to post progress for you guys. I started buying up parts from some local guys and got the car taken apart to start body work when yet again, you guessed it.
With a broken hand and 2200 buks in medical bills you really cant build a car. So time to push all this out of my way and get this thing going in the rite direction.
My 21st birthday was not to long ago and chose to take a road trip a couple hours out of town and spend the money that was going to go to my birthday shenanigans and put it towards a new shell. New shell in hand, or... uh... on trailer, with no suspension. or axles, diff, core support, and other minor items i was set to start.
And here we go,
Here is the new shell (next to the original project).
Ups, Minty interior, nearly perfect body, no rust and 5 lug swap rear.
Downs, Its missing everything else lol.
But no worries because I'm using my car as a parts car, and replacing the majority of my stock suspension.
So progress with new shell as of now, Coil overs on the way, wheels at the powder coaters, and both cars now in a shop, so enough of my talking for now and until next time, you guys enjoy.
Oh yeah, heres me rims.

Got to come home from work to thos a couple of weeks ago.

Not bad for a hundred bux rite??.........

.......Lol

Thats all for now. have more pictures as the parts roll in.
