Guys,I have this strange problem with my Q '94. When I accelerate it feels like I am playing a little bit with the pedal (release and press). Also when the rpms go above 4500 there is a weird smell of something burning that at times becomes very strong. One month ago I replaced right cat converter because of the problem that I had with injector in the right bank, it oversprayed fuel and burned my cat. I also replaced two O2 sensors and cleaned the idle valve (thanks go to Wes and Dennis for info about doing this job). In the last year I have replaced all injectors, fuel pump, egr valve and valve cover gaskets. I suspect that maybe fuel pressure regulator is faulting. About six months ago I checked fuel pressure on idle and it was normal.

Any suggestions or thoughts will be greatly appreciated,Andre.

Never seen a fuel pressure regulator fail on a Q. Why do you do about the precat welded to manifold?
