rough transmission shift?

hey everyone, im alil worried about my trannywhen i park uphill, or on a steep inclineand i put the car in reverse it will shift hard and *thud* in to gear.it never does this on a flat surfaceis this normal? or somethin i should take to the dealer?

When parking on an incline, put the transmission in Neutral, pull up the parking brake, and then put the car in Park. This way the brake will be holding the car with no strain on the transmission, and it will eliminate the shock when put back into Reverse or Drive gear... as long as your foot is firmly on the brake, or the parking brake is left engaged.
