a bad CAS is more likely to cause the car to misfire and idle lumpy. A dragging on start up is caused by either a starter that's on its way out, or a battery that is low on voltage.

If it is the CAS, it will appear as a code on the ECU. You'll have to get to it so you can pull the code.

I have a similair problem. On the first start of the day, after it comes down from warm up mode, my car starts to stutter and the rpm's drop to 500. After the first block or so of driving it is fine and runs like a champ for the rest of the day. No codes, new plugs, good grounds, WTF?

adjust the IACV (i think thats what it's called) it looks like a little box between intake runner 2 and 3 i believe and it has a screw on top. adjust it by adjusting the screw. Clockwise lowers RPMs and counterclockwise raises RPMs

I am also experiencing hard starts in the morning. it takes a few attempts and starts up. could this be a faulty cas?
