94 Q45 Stock74,000mi. Dosen't get driven alot, maybe 1K per year, maybe. Grocery Getter...

Every 2 weeks or so, and sometimes things will be fine for a month.....When cold I'll get about a mile from the house, and suddenly it feels like I have flat spots on the tires,(vibrations) but it is really running rough, like it's on 4 cylinders. I know this because I make it to the stoplight and it allmost dies, but dosen't. In about half a minute or so, it clears righht up and runs fine for a few weeks. I thought I had it solved with a can of Sea-Foam, but it did it again yesterday. I've had this intermittent problem for 5yrs. and I have just been getting used to it.

Clooged ACC valve? Dirty TB?

Thanks.....

have you cleaned the MAF yet? That solved alot of issues on mine. Use a non-chlorinated brake cleaner.

MAFInjectorsIAC/AAC

Start by cleaning the MAF. Then ohm the injectors. Then buy an AAC gasket and remove/clean the AAC.

It is said that brake cleaners can leave behind a residue which would be bad for something like the MAF. Of course, I cant prove or verify that.

I was reading something on a F150 Ford page that said not to use carb. cleaner or brake cleaner, only electrical cleaner on a MAF. I don't know, but I'm gonna use the CRC stuff, just in case.

Brakleen is advertised to leave no residue. Some electrical cleaners do leave behind a light film to protect the metal from oxidation, read the label.

I've always used chlorine free with no problems ever. The "carb" cleaner stuff does leave residue, a form of lubricant.

What is the AAC? and what exactly does ohming the inj do?

Oh man, SO many threads on both. Do a search for IAC and AAC in Infiniti Online Mechanic. Also check out q45.org for info on how to ohm your injectors. Requires touching a multimeter to some pins.
