Rough running question

Aye, so as of recently, my car has been doing some weird stuff when it gets warm. say i'm cruising in 2nd, and i'm just holding it at 2000rpm (or accelerating lightly), it will sound like its running on 5 cylinders (makes a 'bawwwww' sound too), then when i punch it it snaps back and goes normally like somebody flicked a switch.

When it gets warm enough (after some spirited driving) it will even do this in first until about 3000 or so and it becomes a real pain in the *** until it cools down a bit.

Pull your plugs and check them, that is always easy to do. Also, run an ECU diagnosis, that could tell you something. And clean your throttle bodies, dirty throttle bodies can cause hesitation.

Ya I don't want to spend too much on it since its getting swapped anyways, but i definately don't want it to leave me stranded. We're changing the plugs on it soon anyways, so i'll check the tb's at the same time.

Also, i noticed that two of my plug adapters (the part that is recessed into the engine to plug onto the sparkplugs) are missing a green bolt each. Anybody know where I can get replacement bolts? Dealership doesn't have any and can't get any.

so your coils are missing bolts... check the coils for cracking and corrosion because that is defiently one of the things that ppl complain about and it will cause your symptoms

just email Z1, they will have it since they have a ton of used Zs otherwise find someone who is parting out
