Well, recently I just got all my mods done and driving it around I felt that it was a pretty stiff ride... I can feel paint and tar on the road. That's right, I can feel it if it's kind of a thicker film of paint / tar on the surface... Not to mention all the little bumps and what not. I'm talking if I had a person in my car, she'd probably feel like my car sucks and I'd actually have to explain to her that my suspension has been done (I know... Saving face is such a b*tch)Here's my suspension set-up:18x8 wheels225/45 tiresEibach pro kitStrut tower braceFront end linksRear sway barRear end links

If you have a similar setup, please, do chime in.

take your tire pressure down to 30psi, it will help considerably...someone will probably say "but thats not safe!" Okay, so safe driving is about as much fun as safe sex...deal with it. Course that damn butt crack dash light will light up, but its a better ride...me Im kinda crazy, I completely removed the RSB to free up each side of the rear end to act more independant of the other...damn sway bar, whatever the right tire hits, the left tire responds to as well...course I know someone will probably flame on me for saying this, but doesnt matter, its personal preference.

So I get just a wee bit more side roll, but a hellofa lot less stiff and bouncy ride, which for me is a great trade off. I still do LOTS of windy mountain roads driving up to 80+ and its just fine...freeway up to and over 100 frequently no problem, and had it this way for 20,000 miles no problems. Sure someone else would whip my a$$ on the track, but then Im not daily driving on the track! And Im driving 19" wheels with the ProKit as well.

its more than likely your tires that are giving you that feeling from one set to another it can be night and day.

I'm running the same setup as you but my tires are Falkens 912 running at 32psi. After i modified the suspension, I feel the road contour and feel that the car is actually more in tune. I'm not sure of the reasoning of your post. Are you dissatisfied with the feel? or are you just not sure what you were suppose to feel after the suspension mods and wanted to post to see what other say and to see if this is a normal characteristic after modification.

If you wanted a smooth riding vehicle, you shouldn't have touched the suspension. The AC already has a pretty decent ride.

If you think your suspension is stiff now, don't ever get coilovers

Neither the coupe or the Sedan come supercharged from the factory. There was a prototype floating around but that is nothing official, and a tuned coupe was supercharged as well.

yeah like greyzone said. if you want to CUT the harshness of the ride in HALF, you need to unlink the right from the left suspention. to do that easilly you don't need to remove both the front and rear sway bar. the only thing you need to do it is remove the front and rear endlinks. leave the sway bars there. the sway effectively doubles the spring rate (at max if it was a solid metal big bar) since instead of having only one spring compressing you get the two to compress for a bump one feels. try it out. should not mess your ride at all. but when you track the car put then endlinks back to get the best possible handling.

also try to lower the psi in your tires. if you are rolling with about 25 psi you'll have a much more compliant ride (At the expense of safety, tirewear, mpg, and cornering speed lol)

I'm getting more and more used to it. I was used to it before when running on 20s but after the car's been gone for three weeks, I guess I was shocked again... Haha!

Just to clarify.. you do mean remove the aftermarket endlinks and replace them with the stock endlinks right?

I'd hate to see people rolling around with one endlink unhooked.

with the tire pressure that low (30) if you hit a pothole u run a better chance of bends and cracks to the rim.

Do not remove the endlinks and leave the swaybar there. If you are going to go through all that trouble remove them all. Why would you want the endlinks and swaybar swinging around while you are driving?

The swaybars are also bolted up the the underbody with plastic (rubber?) bushings. So they won't be swinging around if unhooked.

My opinion: go back to stock end links, you should find the ride much softer.

they are bolted to the chassis by d-brackets with bushings but they can still rotate within those bushings. why would you want to take the chance of it snagging a brake line or something?
