rough idle with z32

I just installed the z32 MAF in my car. I also have an SAFC II. I originally had it set at sensor n. in 4 out 4. The booklet says to change it to in 2 out 5. Keeping in mind that I had it at in 4 and out 4 and the book said to have it an in 5 and out 5, does anybody know what the right settings are so my idle isn't so rough and jumpy?

book says 2/5......I'm fixing to hook mine up this week...thought with stock maf we were suppose to be 5/5

It's SUPPOSED to be 5 and 5 but I found that with the wiring diagram that I used I found that 4 and 4 worked better. I used the wiring diagram N5-a and that all cars that used that diagram had a sensor of HW-4. I did this because the car is not an SR, but rather a KA, and they don't have specific write-up directions about the KA. All this worked for me, but now that I have the new MAF It's idling rough. I tried to set it to 2 and 5 and to 2 and 4. the most smooth it was @ 4 and 4.

try 2 in 6 out. thats me and structured used for a little bit before we went jwt.

I thought we were to use the na5b diagram.....I need to hook up my SAFC this weekend...

the N5-b diagram works for an S14. It has every wire matching exept for the throttle signal. From what I understand, the S13 favors the N3-b diagram.P.S. the throttle signal is actually the last hole in the cluster on the right after the two 3x3 clusters

i have an s13 and went by the n3-b diagram....my maf is set at in 1 out 1...should i change it...idles alright i guess....whats the difference? should i change it?

the 1 and 1 you're talking about should stay 1 and 1. there is a different set that should be at 5in and 5 out.By the way, does the s13 wiring diagram really look like the N3-b diagram or more like the N5-b?
