Rough Idle

So i got a small rough idle. Not that big, but still noticable.

i cant figure out what is causing this?

my intake connecttions and plugs are all secure.i have reset my ecu and done relearns on everything.

what else could i do?

I had a really mild rough idle...the problem went away after i changed my spark plugs. oops

Note: i recommend giving your air filter a good cleaning(or replacement) too.

well i just cleaned my air filter.. i have a CAI.

spark plugs? hmm.. maybe i should replace them?

my car only has 17,000 miles on it. BUT its a 2004. should i go ahead and replace them?

That could be one of the reason why. If you just cleaned your intake and oiled it. Maybe the maf got dirty from the oil.

help my please! i changed spark plugs and cleaned my MAF!

still there...

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

i cahnged to ngk iridiums..

help!

do u still have your warranty ? if so put you stock intake back on and take it to nissan they can reset the idle

accualy i dont have warrenty. but i did find a diy on how to relearn your idle, so accually reset it myself!

thanks for the help guys! keep it coming!

i posted the samething in another 350z forum.. they all seem to be really not helpful. but this forums seems great so far! haha

I still think it is your maf. Try to unplug it when it is running to see what it does. It also can be vacum problem. If you have vacum leak or maybe your o2 sensor. I'd try to unplug the maf while it is running.

Ever tried checking out the Idle Air Control Unit?

and idle control unit? do you mean reseting it so it learns?

or physically checking it out? and if so.. how ?

Your unstable idle is normal. Nothing you can do about it. Putting in new plugs or cleaning your MAF sensor won't help. You would be getting a check engine light for a cylinder misfire, or a MAF voltage issue. If you have no check engine light then everything is fine. You can't diagnose these cars by taking a guess. That's what the computer is for.
