rough idle

just finished swapping motors and the idle is rough. the engine isnt very shaky, it just doesnt idle smoothly. seems to be running rich too and wont stay running by itself for very long as it stalls out. when i give it gas it revs up ok, but without having your foot even just lightly on the pedal it sputters out. checked the ecu and got 55, which is wierd because the knock sensor isnt hooked up yet. i'm gonna check more of the wiring tomorrow, it just got too dark to mess with it. any ideas?

sounds like a vac leak......... I would put money on it.

My money is on vaccuum leak as well; check your vac lines going to the intake manifold and make sure your intercooler piping is all tightened up.

yup.. vaccuum leak. need to buy some better vac lines, but i fixed it for now. car idles SMOOTH!! now i need a new maf and wire the knock sensor and shes done!
