SOOO . . . MY 2008 G37S RUNS LIKE CRAP & HAS ACTUALLY SHUT OFF (ALWAYS STARTS RIGHT BACK UP) WHEN THE TANK GETS BELOW ½ A TANK & WORSE AT ¼ TANK.
THE PROBLEM OCCURS ESPECIALLY WHEN I COME TO A FULL STOP AFTER EXITING A HIGHWAY OR IN BUMPER TO BUMPER TRAFFIC.
OVER ½ A TANK IDLES & RUNS MUCH BETTER.
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS?????

THANKS!!

When you fill the tank when the gauge reads 1/4 how much gas does it take to fill up?
Is your air filter clean?

Hmmmm . . .I have Nissan/Stillen High performance intakes. Had the K&N Filters cleaned a few months ago. I'm gonna have to guess about about $50 to fill it at ¼ tank . . . when I do put gas in, a lot of times the gas nozzles kick back repeatedly even though it is not full.
Thanks for the feedback . . .

You missed my point!

The tank holds 20 gallons. If the gauge were accurate at the 1/4 mark it would take 15 gallons to fill up.
Prior to assuming your gauge is incorrect how many gallons of gas does it take to fill the tank at the 1/4/mark?
The amount you paid is meaningless.

Do your air filters have oil in them?

Well then . . . $50 divided by $3.79 . . . I'd have to say about 13 gallons. And yes they do have oil . . .

I'm gonna say that I believe the gas gauge to be accurate from my day to day personal experience with my car . . .
