Hello, I have been chasing a rough idle problem forever now.I have good spark and good compression to all cylinders. When I started the job i thought I had found the problem with 1 injetor having 50 ohms resistance, and another being completely open.well over the past days I have replaced those 2 injectors.Suprisingly this made absolutely no difference. The car is very driveable but it shakes at idle and has no power until higher rpm's.It definitely seems like a single cylinder miss, and it also pops through the tailpipe like a burnt valve, but the compression is good. The only idea I have left is someone has put the timing chain on with a cam out of time, but that would not seem to give the kind of miss that I have. Please help me,if I have to take the upper plenum off again I think I will scream.

Did you check the MAF connector, especially whre the wires enter from the rear?

I checked and cleaned inside the connector, and cleaned the filament. It appeared someone had slightly turned the pins for a better connection. This made no difference , but I did not put a meter to it ,what should I see if I do?

Check the posts by Q45tech. I think the upper limit is around 4.4V at redline.

Doing a power balance by a senior tech at the dealer may save you a lot of time if there are multiple tcomponents malfunctioning.
