Here's my dilemma....When the car is idling, it is a little rough. Acceleration is good with no missing. When the car is put in reverse, it worsens to the point that there is a "shimmy". I have ran down ecu codes, to find none (all diag levels 1-5). I have removed the IAC, cleaned, reistalled, and readjusted. I have removed the EGR valve, cleaned, reinstalled, and tested. I have checked timing (15 btdc). replaced all plugs with NGK, wires replaced with Bosch Platinum (damn those cost over $100), replaced the cap and rotor with standard. Ive run BG44K through tank twice. Seafoamed the intake. Finally sprayed all vaccum lines with throttle body cleaner to see if there is a leak, none. Oh, Ive also used a stethascope to check fuel injectors and all are working.

Damn this is becoming the 7th circle of hell. Anyone have any thoughts on it. I think im left with new injectors and ecu, but damn expensive and difficult, so i dont want ot do it if not needed.

forgot...did a power balance test on plugs...all good. havent done it on injectors since they are so tough to get to, i fear damaging the connector trying to get them off.

Maybe be due to a dirty fuel filter. Fuel pressure should be @ 34 PSI at Idle. Better check the entire air intake - check/replace air filter, and clean MAF sensor and throttle valve. A dirty MAF sensor can give all sort of problems but not necessarily throw a code.
