Rough idle (egr removal)

I just swapped a fresh ka into my s14 and decided while the motor was out that i would just cap off the egr tube and do away all the egr crap that way. Now when the car is idleing you can barely feel what appears to be a missfire but its not. I think this was caused by me capping off the egr tube. Can I be wrong?

Capping off the EGR won't give you an uneven idle. A tuneup is probably needed.

When I say i capped it off. I cut the tube at the exhaust mani. and capped it there. If that makes a diff. Also, ever since i swapped the motor my temp. control hasn't worked. I can't control whether its hot or cold unless I get under the hood and manually open the valve. Would be caused by me capping it off?
