So I have a fun combo of issues here. The idle is rough, fluctuating between 500rpm - 1500rpm. It will sometimes balance out to around 1,100 RPM. Due to the idle it can often try to stall. This is when my second issue really gets me. If the car is running hot it won't start up without a little ether. I'm doing what I can to fix some of the serious heat issues I have by getting a Seibon vented hood and JETHOT coating my exhaust manifold and turbo exhaust housing. However, in the meantime I need to do what I can to fix these issues whether they are related or not...
Car setup: built RB25DET in S14. Greddy intake, Q45, fmic, lovefab exhaust mani, bullseye s362 turbo, 880cc injectors, walbro, nismo fpr, hks ssqv, hks gtII wastegate, aem ems with map 3bar sensor, koyo rad.
We've changed spark plugs twice. coil packs seem hot so we have the cover off. adjusting the idle control sensor doesn't seem to have any impact on the idle so I am wondering if this is the culprit? The car is admittedly running a bit rich right now. I'm still breaking in the engine and felt like this would be ok for the breakin. Dyno tuning to come on Saturday. I just want to get some of this under control before the weekend.
If I do need to get a replacement idle control sensor, where can I get one?
