First of all lemme give u a look at my Q!

[IMG][/IMG]

The rims on there are th e17in rums off of a 2003 infiniti i30. I got em off this guy in the parking lot of my church for $160 with the almost brand new tires on them....(suspect..i kno) lol When i first put them on i experienced a ride way smoother than when i had the stock bbs rims on there. before i put them on iobviously needed a wheel alignment after changing the cv boot but after i put on the i30 rims it did not feel like i needed a wheel alignment that bad. it was slightly off tot he right. after having the rim on for about 6 months i started feeling a chatter when i brake. the chatter has only gotten worse so now when im driving n i hit the brake it chatter rediculously but it doesnt do it all the time . It usually only stars to chatter when I get on the highway. anybody have any clues on what it might be? wheel alignment maybe causing chatter?

Have you pulled the wheels and checked the pads, pins and shims? It's not clear from your post.

As far as the alignment and pull, that could have been one of your old tires.

Does it pulsate when you apply the breaks? Turn the rotors.

What did cha do with your old wheels? (Yeah I'm interested.) Are you sure they were BBS.

Never in my life heard of shorter/wider tires riding better. Handling yes, riding no. Get new rotors or turn old ones. May as well do all 4.

Ive changed all 4 brake pads and havent seen anything that looked suspect..everything looks normal. If I even bother messin with the rotars i would probably jus get new ones cuz i've never turned them. the pulsating when i brake is gettin on my las nerve. the car still stop (trust me im a speed demon) but it jus pulsated and worries me. the warning tab on my rear brakes r squealing but they r fairly new so i think its jus the typical issue where i should have not put the warning in

i still have the old bbs rims n yea im positive they r bbs but they arent in that great shape at all so i wouldnt recommend them.

i have a service account with nissan so ill call and see how much the reduced price is for new rotors...hope that work and thanx all of u for ur help

You wouldn't be able to see a warped rotor unless they were warped extremely bad or if you had a real eye for it, and I mean GREAT vision. You can pull the rotrs off and take them to any firestone/midas/parts store etc... to have them turned at a much smaller cost than new rotors, and new rotors should also be turned before installation to achieve what Q45Tech would probably call the utmost in perfect braking achievment. I personally just slap em on alot of the time, but if you like to drive fast do it the right way. Even though the Q can do 160 it wasn't designed for sustained high-speed braking, at least to my knowledge and it's appearance, so I would go with nothing less than OEM rotors if you buy new, that or Brembo, Bendix, any top name brand brake company. You'd probably be just fine by turning the originals though.

While mine were barely pulsating when I did my brakes in Feb, it really made the brakes feel mo' better after I had them turned. One of my buds did it and he barely shaved them. I have no idea how old they are but I'd bet there are at least two more turnings left on them. New ones are too pricey to buy unless one really needs them.

Night and day difference in turning and fixing runout. Guy who works at the local shop did them for me on the side during his lunch for $20. That has made all the difference.
