So I'm not at home where my parents are and my 240. I have a cousin from out of the country that is driving my 240 for the time being. My father said that it needed new brakes and rotors in the rear. So he ordered all the parts but at first he got the 4 lug rotors so he needed to get a different rotors.

Also sorry it's a 96 SE with 5 lug hubs.

Anyways he ordered the 5 lug ones and when he got them they didn't fit... When he went to autozone they told him that it's a 97 rotor that was non-vented. I guess they have two types, vented and non-vented.

Does that sound right to anyone???

Thanks,

Zac

its quite possible if it was built late in the model year that it has brakes from the next year up. ie 10/96 build date with 97 model year brakes. this is common in all vehicles no matter the make or model and usually indicates that there are more goodies on your car from the next year up depending of course on how many changes were made between those years.

OK Nissan Fast Tells Me there were 2 types of front brakes but the rears were the same from 0294-end of production for the SE the Base has 2 types for the 4 lug

So that's awkward then... I have the 5 lug, SE, and I do need the rear rotors.... weird. So what should I do?
