i currently have Motegi DP10 18'' wheels on my Z and i am looking to get the 6 pot Rotora 14'' front brake kit. i am wondering if that large of a rotor and caliper system would fit behind those wheels? i know it says a minimum of 18'' wheels are required, but seeing as how im in afghan right now and cant do the actual measurements myself, i would like to know what y'all think. i dont want to buy the kit and get home only to have it not fit behind my wheels. also, is 6 pot really worth the extra size/stopping power/money? or would 4 pot do just fine? any info would be much appreciated, thanks.

4 pot is probably ok, but if you really want a ton of stopping power and have the cash go for the 6 pot dont skimp on brakes, especially if you are going to be racing on a track.

Moszczyensky is right, 4 pot is probably good enough, and you defiantly do NOT want to cheat your self on brakes. That being said, I haven’t heard too many good things about Rotora products. You might reconsider your choice of brake manufacturer.

thanks for the input Jai, being that you work for a brake company, what system(s) would you recommend?

I did quite a bit of research earlier this year and decided to go with StopTech's. One of the many +'s with StopTech is that they use the same pads as the Porsche big red calipers so your pad options are almost endless.

Here's a comparison to stock rotors/calipers, this is the StopTech 4 piston 13" kit, they also offer a 14" kit with matching rears as well.

And a bad quality picture from the night that I installed them

As Jai stated, when you really start digging beyond people looking for cosmetic brake upgrades, the Rotora's don't rate nearly as high as many other options on the market.

They are installed properly, unlike most of the generic Brembo style rotors the StopTech's are a true directional vane design.

From StopTech's site:

"The StopTech AeroRotors® are directional. If they are not installed on the proper side of the vehicle, airflow will be restricted and cooling will be severely diminished. The vanes on a rotor act like a centrifugal air fan, drawing air from the inside of the rotor and flowing it to the outside. The vanes of a directional rotor should arch back like arms on a pinwheel. On the top side of the rotor, the vanes should curve toward the back of the car.

(Driver's perspective looking forward)

The slots on StopTech AeroRotors are cut in the OPPOSITE direction of the vanes. The pattern on a drilled AeroRotor also has the same appearance. The direction of the slots or hole pattern should not be used to determine what side of the vehicle to place a rotor. Different manufacturers may have different strategies for slot and hole patterns. "
