Wrong! Some of my PowerStop/Stillens have been touched up 6 times.

I've been using drilled for the past 10 years. Resurface on an off the car lathe. most on the car lathe are not stiff enough to travel across the hole without inducing vibrations.

Normally each face has 0.0254" and I cut 0.003" per retrue.

Very common for "normal brake shops" to tell you non-smooth surface (slotted or drilled ) rotors can't be re-trued, but it's not true.

Call around to speciality or true speed performance shops, they should know someone that can do it.

Also, it never hurts to contact the original manufacturer (or the company that sold you the rotors) and ask them.

How much does it run anway?

I'm just curious because I recently upgraded to drilled and slotted, wondering what future costs could be associated with that.

Also what are the warning signs to get them redone?
