I am looking to get new rotors for my J and was wondering if 240sx 5-lug rotors will fit my J. Also I was wondering if there is any difference between the 240sx rotors and the rotors made for the Q/J. Here is the auction I am looking at http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...3564.

Why would you want to but rotors designed for a 500lb. lighter car on a J?

Rotors have to be the correct diameter and thickness to fit the calipers...........the rears are not interchangable on the J or Q EITHER.

If they're drilled and slotted correctly, they should last longer between resurfacing (warp less easily). Like Eswift mentioned, the drilling isn't done by Brembo. The only major supplier that I've found that drills their own brakes is Autospecialty PowerStop. I've been told they use Bradi or Brembo blanks for the process. Just be sure you avoid rotors from some guy in his back yard with a cold beer and a drill press.

not that a cold beer and a drill press arent cool... they just dont mix with a rotor that should be CNC machined.

personally, im fine with CNC machining and beer hand-in-hand. (as long as the G code is compiled ahead of time)

Cold beer and tools are great... but only when I use them :)
