Hello, long time no writing...

I've had Power Slot rotors for about 3 years and everything cool. 2 months ago I began hearing a sound as if the pads were running out on one of my left wheels. I checked looking from the outside and they seem to have enough "meat" on them, so I took it as a normal sound; it went away.

But last week the sound came back louder and sometimes grinding with "thuds" from the slots, finally I dismounted the thing on saturday. Man, the pad from the inside of my left rear brake was completely gone, the warning pin broken, the inside of the rotor is deformed and I wonder how could that happen.

Can something get stuck between the inside of the rotor and the tin plate behind it? Can this damage the pad and/or the rotor that badly? Did this has happened to anyone?

I had bought new pads just in case, so I replaced the bad one with the remaining other, still has some material left, and installed a new one on the front of the rotor. Today I'm looking for a new Power Slot rotor to replace the damaged one. Where can I get this at the lowest price?

I noticed when i bought my 240sx, that both front tire pads, the inside of them were worn to metal on metal, while the outside pads looked decieving and still ok.

I don't know if this is a general occurrence on all cars, or just the 240, but it happened to me, and did some carnage to the stock rotors.

If that helps at all. :(

Hi Mr. 240SX=fun4me!

I think you're right in that the 240SX tends to worn the inside pad of the brakes sooner. I remember that that's what I always see and if you notice, the warning pin goes always on the inside pad, which makes sense knowing that it's the one that wears first.

It's probably a consequence of the single piston system and aggressive driving, as we all know, the piston is on the inside.
