Would anyone advise a novice against a diy front Rotor install? Got a set of Brambo's from Tire Rack <patronage< and i'm wondering if i can or more importantly should do this one myself. I was reading the instructions on the brembo box, they say only a qualified person should do this job. Looks like there are some things that i wont be able to do myself like check roundout after install and some other stuff. Should i just take it in or could a novice handle it? If i have to take it in, T3 will be it once i get Pads and some time to take the trip.what ya'll think?

Not rocket science, unless you want to get real fussy about the runout like Q45tech. With new rotors and pads it will be way better than what you're removing.

It's one of the easier routine jobs. Easier than a fuel pump and only slightly harder than the pads alone. 4 bolts plus lugnuts? The rotors come off really easy if you thread bolts into them to push them off the hub like they're meant to be. Most common pitfall--do not let the calipers hang by the brake fluid lines. Follow the FSM. If the rotors are quality then runout will be in other places besides the rotors--make sure the mating surfaces are clean before mounting.

Failure to clean inside wheels and hubs with a soft disk grinder is common ----polish to a sparking sheen.........corrosion on wheels inhibits the heat flow and cooling path.

Most runout problems are hub related on quality rotors. I have had some success grining the hub high spots flater.

The less runout you start with, the longer the rotors will stay true before the 6,000-12,000 mile feelable [to the sensitive] warp.
