I am doing a tune up for my 95 240sx se. since I didn't have the tools, so I had to have the shop to change the spark plugs and o2 sensor for my. and hell, that costs me more than what i spent on the parts. so, i dont feel like to spend that much money on labor again. I will spend the money buying the tools i need.Is it hard to change the rotor and distributor cap? what kinda tools required? and could you guys give me a instruction on how to do it? thanks.I am a completely newb to machanical stuffs. thanks again.

Don't sweat it man. Cap and rotor are easy to change. Most caps are numbered so you don't screw up your firing order. But to be safe take them off one at a time and put them on your new cap. Your dist. cap is held on by 2 screws, remove those, cap should pop off, then you will see your rotor. I'm not sure maybe someone should know if you should mark the position of your old rotor to line up your new one. Your rotor should slide off and out your new one in its place. Then just reverse the process to put back together. Theyre are no special tools required and should take 10 min to do. Good luck and have fun.

Common Tools: 8,10,12,14,17,21 mm sockets and wrenches. 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" rachets and extensions. Various screwdrivers and nut drivers. Oh and don't forget about prybars, they always come in handy. I perfer to use craftsman tools because no matter where I am there is a Sears to get my tools warrantied out. If you went to sears and spent $200 -$300 for a nice mechanics tool set you will have just about everything you need. Hope this helps and I'm sure I left afew out.
