Well I would really like to hear more about this. I saw the price for the ATI one and said **** it. If this one's 300 and good quality I'd be down.

I have never seen the ATI for $300, the $900 is a custom ATI pulley. After 2nd quarter Unorthodox Racing has a new crank dampner coming out for imports.

PLEASE remember there is a BIG differnace in a dampener and a pulley. A pulley is just there and a dampener reduces the vibs of the rotating crank and rods.. $900 is alot of money, but if the pulley causes bearings to fail or crank problems, what is the cost.....the ATI unit is a dampener not a pulley... Is the ROSS a pulley or a dampener??????????????????

the ross unit appears to be a dampener.fwiw you can use a rb25 crank pulley on a rb20 with no ill problems and it weighs less...http://www.rosstuffbond.com.au...m.htm

Where did you hear that??????That’s TOTALLY WRONG!!!!!

First of all the RB like most Import motors from the early 80’s on are Internally Balanced. They are not Externally balanced like old school domestics. The pulley on the RB is just a pulley. The rubber in the pulley is just to quiet down the motor. Its for what the OEM calls NVH Noise Vibration and Harshness. So that when mom and dad drive the car, there’s no noise when the A/C kicks on and etc…A real damper must be Pressed on.It doesn’t matter how tight you bolt on the pulley it will move and not properly transmit/dampen vibrationThis is what a real damper looks like:http://images.google.com/imgre...a%3DN

Check eBay, I have seem them on there for hella less than $900last on ei saw was a BIN for $259+Shipping

ROSS Appears to be a dampner by the design and the notches on it for timing adjustments.

you get what you pay for. Im glad i went with an ati dampner. At 10k there will be vibrations no matter how well the lower end is built. Id rather do it right than do i twice.

if you look closely in those ebay ad's for those ATI dampners they list others for that 259 price and then in the description the RB and most other motors are priced at their respective prices. $900

i dont like the idea of ligthened pully. have you all heard the term crank-walk!?? becareful as your bearings may wear out improperly and death to your engine. the ATI damper worth every penny, if you can't afford one, let the stock one on the engine alone.
