My current plans for the 240 are to give the outer appearance a 'luxury' look. I've been looking over headlights and am pretty sure I am going to go with the s15 lights. I have seen these for as low as $500, but the majority average around $700. Is there anything I should be wary of on the lower priced lights? Once I get the headlights in place(and more than likely a simple OEM-style hood and fenders), I need to find a front bumper that looks 'factory luxury'. Any ideas? Most of the conversion kits I've seen have too much of an 'aggressive' look to them, which is the exact opposite direction I am headed. I think I remember seeing an r33 styled bumper that had some nice clean lines to it, but can't remember where I saw it. Once I get the plastic surgery over with, I'll get the old paint media-blasted off of there and get a nice soft silver sprayed on.

Once the exterior mods are finished, I'm moving inside. Keeping it simple with a pair of Cobra Opuses or Opusii. Don't really have too much planned for the interior at the time.

Then of course comes everybody's favorite part, the engine bay. I am looking at getting a R34 GT-T engine and tiptronic transmission and giving it a new home. I don't have too much on the drawing board for the engine, still have to do some research, but I do know I am probably going to paint the valve cover a nice burnt orange to give a good contrast to the silver exterior(or at least the contrast is good in my head).

Ideas? Suggestions? Words of Wisdom from past experiences? Words of Wisdom from past lives?

first of all, Welcome to NICO.

I find the stock strawberry face to be just fine... all the other S15 bumpers ive seen would be a bit too much for what you are looking for. I personally love the way stock strawberry looks.

Seems like you got some wild plans with RB26 and tiptronic.... just how in the world are you planning to install a tiptronic into a 240....

That is why it is just a plan right now We'll see if it becomes a reality.

and I thought the GT-T only had the RB25?

Do you mean Tiptronic as in the actual proprietary technology, or just a sequential transmission?

Sequential is easy, if expensive. Just get a manual and then pick up an Ikeya Formula Sequential Shifter (or that goofy 5Zigen contraption, but I hear it doesn't work as well).

Well from what I have read, the GT-T was available with a 6 speed(have also seen it listed as a 4 speed) tiptronic transmission, with shifter controls on the wheel and also at the stick.

That 'option' has always seemed extremely 'luxury' to me. Of course this would mean I would have to do a lot of extra wiring, but that doesn't scare me(yet).

Dammit. I hate it when I miss deadlines. I guess I'll just go sell the 240 and see if the Cobalt Club has room

Alright back to that hidden question I had in the first post

What would be the difference between http://www.nismoparts.com/catalog/?section=661 and http://www.topendmotorsports.c....html other than $200? They both say OEM.
