I wouldnt think it would cover the gap of the window seal.... That is there to give the window ample wiggle room and flexibility so it doesnt smash when your cars body flexes (from what I understand).
If you tried to adhere ANYTHING to a rubber that flexes, like the window seal, I would just assume that the adherent would lose its tack as the rubber flexes, and the wing would be lost on the highway.
The only way I could see it covering the gap, is if the part that adheres to the car is hidden away under the wing... like if the edge that meets the window gap, is hanging tward the hood of the car, whereas the contact patch is actually a quarter inch or so tward the rear of the car.
Whats the underside of the wing look like?
