Roof weight load limit

I've got a 2012 sedan and my friend has a kayak that we use sometimes. But since my brother sold his truck and he also got a Versa, we have no way to transport it. I was thinking of buying some foam blocks to put it on my roof and bring it to the beach over the summer. What's the max amount of weight that you can put on the roof of a Versa without damaging it?

I dont really know about that. Why dont you get a cheap roof rack? They're not Thule or anything like that but Im sure they do the job.
